Magic And Religion
My religion is not based on magic however there are things in my religion which would definitely be considered magical in nature.

Magic Used By Gods And Goddesses
Outside their own "special" attributes, there are certain things which many of the Gods and Goddesses can do.
Many can manipulate the properties of certain materials, i.e. warping glass or melting metals.
Many can travel nearly instantaneous from one place to another.
Some can extend "life" as long as the person is not already dead.

Deals And Bargains
The most popular type of magic of my religion is making deals with one of the Gods or Goddesses. If there is an issue and you need assistance, you can easily ask one for help. As a courtesy, you should attempt to solve the issue on your own and not bother one of the Gods or Goddesses with your personal affairs. Help is not cheap however, you would not want to insult the one you ask assistance for with a token amount.

Magic Employed By Humans
Performing magic is not widespread or common. Usually, it is understood that you should be able to work out your issue without delving into this controversial area. It does however exist and below are the most common types of magic.

Carvings
Pictures and messages can be conveyed from great distances from one person to another. The technique involves the person on one side carving the message into a hard surface. While the message is being carved, the person chants what the message is and who the message is for. The message should take at least a few hours to carve. The receiver (usually a Priest or Priestess) can read/understand the message from the other side.

Weaving Or Knoting
Knotting is a type of magic can be accomplished by either weaving or tying a series of knots into string while simultaneously chanting a desired result. The resulting object is then hung for all to see. After the result is achieved, the string must be taken down and burned or at the very least, the knots undone.

Wishing
Wishing entails writing a wish (while chanting the wish) on wood, paper, sand etc and destroying the item after the wish has been made.

Enchanting Objects
Objects can be inscribed (while chanting) with magical words and/or symbols for a single desired effect. Almost any object can be enchanted, however this type of magic is always done sparingly. this magic is never to be overused. Once an object is enchanted, it is no longer an ordinary object. Common items which are enchanted are charms, weapons, and door thresholds.

Healing And Devination
It is common to barter with a Gods or Goddesses in hopes of healing or divination however for a human, only a strong Priest or Priestess can actually perform this type of magic. It is forbidden to use this type of magic unless you are a Priest or Priestess.
