Married since 12 February 1954, we've made our home at Mobile, AL since 1970. Retired since December 1989, after a career of nearly 38 years with the U. S. Army, Corps of Engineers, we've been enjoying life in our "golden years", doing most anything we want to, which is primarily pickin' and singin' Bluegrass Music, visiting relatives & friends, and just rambling about the country in our motorhome. Besides working with Randy in their clutch manufacturing business, she also operates two other separate related businesses. In addition, she looks to the needs and activities of youngest son Clinton, which takes a lot of her time. Her eldest son, Cody, recently moved back from his father's home in North Carolina, to attend Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta on a baseball scholarship. With all Karen has going, she still finds time to occasionally visit her dad & mother, Harold & Ovaline. At left is a picture taken during such a visit which included a very pleasant day at Bellingrath Gardens near Mobile, Alabama. At right is Karen cutting up with her grandmother, Ovaline's mother, Pauline, whom all the kids call "Meemaw". Karen & Meemaw

Family Gathering - DeSoto State Park, AL
We try to get together when we can work out the details for a rendezvous. Here's a picture taken when those shown were able to gather one weekend at the De Soto State Park near Fort Payne, AL. This is at the Little River Falls in the scenic Little River Canyon south of the state park. The kids kept us pretty tense when they got near the falls. The drop is considerable and they'd have landed on rocks. Of course, they all had a ball!
From left to right, standing are Randy, Christopher, Mark, Shay, Dawn, Ovaline, Richard, Nancy & Harold. Seated are Cody, Clinton, Danny, Karen and Courtney.
