| We've always loved Bluegrass Music and for many years led the working Bluegrass band, "HAROLD & OVALINE ANDREWS and UP THE CREEK". During the year 1999, we thoroughly enjoyed playing several shows as the duo, HAROLD & OVALINE ANDREWS and, having been well-received, decided to continue in that configuration. |

| For the last several years, since their regular fiddler, Bernie Linton, had been in ill health and has now passed away, Harold has sat in on fiddle with MAGNOLIA BLUEGRASS of Mississippi, when permitted by Harold & Ovaline's own performance schedule. On several occasions, Harold has been pleased to play fiddle for performances of BILL GRANT & DELIA BELL of Oklahoma. |

| From 1981 through 1999, we maintained a regional band, HAROLD & OVALINE ANDREWS and UP THE CREEK, and performed for numerous Bluegrass festivals and shows each season. We've been fortunate to have had some fine musicians working with us through the years. |

at Columbia, MS in October 2000 |
At the BLUEGRASS & COUNTRY LEGENDS FESTIVAL at Columbia, MS in October 2000, we were privileged to have been reunited with two of our UP THE CREEK Bluegrass Band alumni. Pictured at right are: DON MILLER, guitarist, OVALINE, HAROLD, and DON ROBINSON, banjoist/vocalist. It was in this configuration that we made our first recording, "Payin' Our Dues", in July 1992. We were all able to chew the fat about old times, etc., and would have loved to have picked and sung some together that night, but didn't get the opportunity. |
In addition to the folks pictured above, we've also had these other fine musicians play with us: HULON DEAL - fiddle, and GATHEL RUNNELS - fiddle. |
|
We also provide sound services for Bluegrass festivals or other acoustic music events and have had good experiences with and gratifying comments from the likes of Sonny Osborne, Little Roy Lewis, Jimmy Martin, Doyle Lawson, Jim & Jesse, et al. | ![]() |
In the picture at left, taken at LESLIE STRINGER'S fine HICKORY HILL BG FESTIVAL near Foxworth, MS, OVALINE is at the mixing board while HAROLD (in blue shirt, white shorts and sunglasses) takes a break for conversation with Bluegrass promoters JOHNNIE STRINGER and JACK AYCOCK, both to his right. |
|
We've had a lot of fun times playing Bluegrass music but one of the high points had to have been when we were asked by the late great CHUBBY WISE to back him up as he played a festival at BILBO CREEK PARK, Washington County, AL, several years back, in September 1989. See picture at right of all of us on stage. |
